UNM-Gallup Do or Dye Color Run is a fundraising 5k fun run/walk, that will be held in Historic Downtown Gallup. Gallup is a fantastic place to begin your New Mexico adventure. Whether your interests lie in culture, history, sports and outdoor activities, shopping, or exploring the beauty of the Southwest, Gallup has it all!
The course will be loop course that will go through the town’s historic downtown area. The starting point will be on Aztec Ave in front of the City Plaza Courthouse Square, the finish line will be at the same place. As you make your way around downtown, you will go through 8 color stations, so you are sure to be covered by the end!
The proceeds for this event will go to UNM-Gallup then use the money to preserve Lion’s Hall. Lion’s Hall was one of the first buildings on UNM-Gallup’s campus, once the Hall is restored it will house Middle College High School.
The race is open to all ages! 6 and under is free they do not need a registration; they will however need a waiver signed the morning of the race by a parent or legal guardian. Please keep in mind that this is 3 miles long with powdered color being thrown, so the really young ones might have some difficulties with it and strollers are not allowed in the race. We are “DYEingly” excited for everyone to come get some color!
