Gallup, New Mexico is strategically located on Historic Route 66 and Interstate I-40, a primary east/west highway route. Highways 666 and 602 are major north/south routes in and out of Gallup. The community is the last urban area before leaving New Mexico to the west and is about two hours driving time from Albuquerque, the largest metropolitan area in New Mexico. Flagstaff, Arizona is about 3 hours west of Gallup, and Farmington, New Mexico is about 100 miles north.
